Definition of Spam
Not everything will be covered but this should give you a good idea/starting point.

  • Among spam too short, repetitive, unfounded (meaningless) and off topic/ question to the most suitable answers.
  • Repetitions of already existing answers, unnecessary thanks, empty phrases without justification/ proof, review announcements and general "Bullshit".
  • Thx / Thank you/ Great/ etc. - you use the like button for that... or elaborate on your 'thank you' post in a couple sentences why it excites you so much for the benefit of other members - hitting the like button is faster and easier.
  • That's what I've been looking for - so did other members, they found the like button.
  • Cool - and why? take the time for a sentence or two and this statement just passes the spam rules.
  • Update/ Upload new version/ etc. - is basically a request, which belongs in the request forum. Many uploaders don't check posts in their threads regularly, posting a request in the appropriate Request section makes more sense.
  • Works fine/ No Problems/ etc. - we expect that usually, so it is not worth posting it. You are always asked and welcome to post the opposite - not working - with description of the problem encountered.
  • There is a newer version/ Last version is... - generally people are aware of it, most members try to keep extensions updated to the best of their abilities. You are always welcome to provide updates/ new versions by uploading the newer files.
  • Virus free - expected and therefore a meaningless post. The opposite - virus found - should be posted, together with virus/ malware detected. Giving the uploader a chance to check things out. Also in some rare cases this might be a 'false positive' caused by cracks - give the original uploader a chance to elaborate!
  • I am going to try and report... - is really great! Just try it and afterwards report, nobody really cares about your intentions to do so.
  • Downloading it soon... - is another post nobody wants to know. Just download it on your own schedule.
  • You saved my life... - we tend to doubt that. But, just in case we/ another member did with his file... at least explain how that was happen and why nothing else so far saved your life.
  • I can't download... - most likely you never read the forum rules when you agreed to them. Only other explanation would be that you are extremely ignorant, to lazy to search (there are numerous threads about it).
  • I don't see the download button... - check the point just above.
  • I don't have 5 posts to download... - at least you are sharp enough to realize your problem. With minimum efforts you should be able to solve it on your own!
  • Why do I need credits... - we explained that in the forum rules, if you forgot just review them.
  • Can you send me the link for... - nope, we can't and we will stop requests like that because they undermine our forum rules.
